Included in the Unesco World Heritage List, Thuin Belfry was completely renovated in 2004 and you can visit it from top to toe. With the help of an audio-guide, Rufin le Tribouleur (the bell ringer) will explain the carillon which contains 25 bells and also the main very large bells, Maria et Paula. At the summit, 40 metres up, 4 recesses offer an exceptional view over the Sambre and Biesmelle valleys. Discover the remarkable architecture of this building. Would you like to find out more about the craftsmen who carried out the renovation work on the Belfry ? A film will tell you the story of the restoration year and panels in three languages will supply more information about the history of the Belfry and its World Heritagepartners.
